1947 Cushman Ice Cream Wagon (WI) - $18,500
Exterior: White with Red/Blue accents.
Transmission: 2 speed manual
Engine: Single cylinder 4 HP.
The 1947 Cushman Ice Cream Truck motorcycle was made in the U.S.A. This wagon weighed in at 500 pounds. Top speed was 25 m.p.h.
In the summer, and young teenager would love this dream job of dispensing ice cream to patrons on the ground of the Four Season's resort.
In the 100 years that Cushman was in operation, they engineered vehicles for the military (much like many manufacturers of this time period). Once the war was over, Cushman started manufacturing golf carts, industrial vehicles and maintenance equipment. The step through design was popular among men and women alike during this era. At 75 mpg and a 1 cent/mile operating cost who wouldn't love to own one of these for their property or business. Production ended in 1965. These truly are hard to come by.
This ice cream wagon was restored by Kenny Robbins (IL).
Location of this Cushman is in Pembine WI 54156.
